Gareth & Courtney - Lodge Park & The Wheatsheaf Inn

Well this wedding had it all, a bride and groom, two adorable children, lovely friends and family, tacos and a mariachi band, yes that’s correct a mariachi band. On a windy March morning the scene was set at the wonderful national trust site of Lodge Park, located in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Courtney appeared through the wind latching on to her fathers arm to walk up the wooden staircase and marry her best friend. A small intimate gathering of family and friends was held and then the magic began… A mariachi band came bouncing in to the room to surprise all the guests and keeping in theme there were spicy tacos too! A short drive through the lovely winding roads the guests arrived at The Wheatsheaf Inn where the food was delicious and the drinks were never half empty. The speeches were truly perfect with many heartfelt and witty stories shared by both family members and guests who enjoyed recalling the moments or learning about their new bride. Normally my blog would end about here however Gareth and Courtney had other plans, I returned to The Wheatsheaf the next morning to surprise their slightly worse for wear guests and capture some of “the morning after”. This was a truly unique wedding and I was privileged to be able to capture some wonderful memories of the day.

“Oliver perfectly captured our day. He was subtle, energetic and invisible, also making easy conversation with our family and friends which was so important to us given the super intimate nature of our celebration. I would highly recommend Oliver for your day, his eye for ‘the moment’ and his documentary vision translates perfectly into memories we will treasure forever. Thanks so much Oliver!!”

Brian & Louise - The Slaughters Manor House

A quintessential English summer wedding in the beautiful Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter was the perfect setting for Brian and Louise’s wedding day which was held in a stunning Cotswold stone Manor House.

After a drive through the local country lanes in a racing green vintage Morgan car, the groom and his best man were ready and nervously waited for the nuptials to begin.

With their family and friends gathered to witness this intimate ceremony there were a few giggles along the way as Brian fluffed a word or two in excitement, but eventually the words ‘I do’ were said and celebrations could begin!

Confetti, canapés and champagne followed quickly and guests mingled on the perfectly landscaped gardens in front of The Manor House, with the day made more perfect thanks to the British summer weather holding up well!

All that was left was to do was cut the cake and dance the night away...

The Slaughters Manor House was the perfect venue for such a lovely couple to celebrate their love for one another-below are just some of my favourite captures from the day.

Oliver & Sophie- Westgate Hall & Dancing Man Brewery

With the winter sun shining and not a drop of rain to be seen, Oliver and Sophie celebrated their wedding day in Southampton with a beautiful intimate ceremony at Westgate Hall, followed by a reception just a few minutes walk away at a 700 year old converted wool house called the Dancing Man Brewery. Both venues are steeped in history and are located in the old walls of the City opposite the Pier. The couple truly relaxed into their big day with their friends and family which enabled me to capture some lovely moments…
