Hello, I’m Oliver
Documentary wedding photographer, based in Bristol
I photograph weddings the way they actually happen — no staging, no scripts, no awkward posing. My job is to move quietly through your day, capture the moments that matter, and give you photographs that feel exactly like being there again.
I’m based in Bristol and cover weddings across the UK, from harbourside venues in my home city to Georgian mansions in London, country houses in the Cotswolds, and everywhere in between.
If you want a photographer who feels like a friend, not a stranger with a camera — we’ll get on well.
We are so grateful to Oliver for capturing our wedding day. We really wanted a relaxed approach to the photos, capturing smaller important moments, reactions and just general fun from our guests and he exceeded expectations. He was also so great at directing us for our couple pictures — we got some beautiful photos. Thank you Oliver!

How I got here
From football pitches to wedding days
Growing up, my biggest dream was to be a professional footballer. When I eventually ran out of talent on the pitch, I turned to my creative roots instead — following in the artistic footsteps of my parents.
I started working as a professional photographer in 2011, originally specialising in architecture and events. That background still shapes my eye today: it taught me how to read a space, find the best light, and use a venue’s character to tell a story.
My first wedding was in Sicily in 2016, photographing the day for close friends. I knew instantly I’d found my thing. By 2018, I committed fully to weddings, spent a year learning from some of the best photographers in the industry, and launched my own practice in 2019.
My approach
Authentic, unscripted, yours
My approach is relaxed, informal and friendly. I photograph everything as it happens — the flow of a dress in the wind, a tear during the vows, the uncontainable joy on a family member’s face. The moments you might otherwise miss.
Your wedding is for you to enjoy, not for you to spend hours posing for a camera. I blend into the background so you and your guests feel completely comfortable and relaxed. Most couples tell me their guests didn’t even notice I was there — and that’s exactly how I like it.
Preview images land in your inbox the morning after your wedding. Your full edited gallery — typically 400–600 images — is delivered within 6–8 weeks.

I live in Bristol with my cockapoo, Elyza, who is essentially my studio manager. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll probably find me doing one of these:
- Searching for the best coffee in Bristol (it’s a serious ongoing project)
- Walking the Clifton Downs with Elyza
- Expanding my ever-growing music collection
- Riding my bike around Ashton Court & Leigh Woods
