BRISTOL Wedding Photographer - Sarah and Josh - Clevedon Hall
There is something undeniably grand about a wedding at Clevedon Hall. Nestled on the North Somerset coast, this Grade II listed mansion offers a blend of Victorian elegance and coastal charm that makes it a dream for a documentary wedding photographer.
Sarah and Josh’s day was a little different for me. Due to an unexpected change, their original photographer had to pass the torch to me just a short time before the wedding. With only a brief window to get to know them, we leaned entirely into an authentic and relaxed approach. As it turns out, that unscripted energy was exactly what made their day so special.
The Venue: Clevedon Hall, North Somerset
From an architectural perspective, Clevedon Hall is a masterclass in detail. My background in architectural photography always makes me appreciate a venue with such strong lines and historic character.
The ceremony space is breathtaking, but for me, the standout moment was Sarah’s entrance. She looked absolutely stunning walking down the grand oak staircase to marry her best friend. Josh had just one goal from the second he saw her: to get to the end of the aisle and hold her hand. It was one of those raw, unfiltered moments that you just can’t stage.
Capturing the Atmosphere
The day was packed with emotion, laughter, and a host of their closest friends and family gathered in the heart of Somerset. Because we kept the coverage informal and friendly, I was able to document the day in my signature style—catching the quiet glances and the uncontainable joy that happens when people truly let go and enjoy the party.
It was a genuine privilege to step in and document this chapter for Sarah and Josh. I walked away from Clevedon Hall with a camera full of memories and a deep appreciation for these two wonderful people.

“We had originally booked another photographer for our wedding when a month out he had to cancel. We were given the details for Ollie and immediately felt that fate had looked after us.From my first video chat with Ollie to his stunning portfolio I was so excited, not only to see our photographs but also just to have him there on the day. When our day arrived Ollie was there, he was there even though due to a loss in the family it would have been completely understandable for him to not have been. Ollie kept me laughing all day, he kept me calm he was everywhere and nowhere, he understood what we wanted and delivered. We have now received our complete images and I will cherish them always. I’m so glad things worked out the way they did and I’m so glad you were our photographer. Thank you thank you thank you!!
