Kate & Brendan | RSA House Wedding
Kate & Brendan
RSA House · John Adam Street · London
RSA House · Royal Society of Arts · London
A London wedding with so much heart. Kate and Brendan started the day at home, then Brendan and I jumped on the Tube across the city to one of the capital's most characterful venues, RSA House just off the Strand.
The Morning at Home
The day began where it always feels most relaxed, at home. There is something I really love about home preparations: the familiar surroundings, the people who matter most close by, and those quiet moments of calm before the excitement of the day takes over. Kate got ready surrounded by laughter, and you could feel the anticipation building with every passing hour.
Across London by Tube
Then a very London way to get to a wedding. Brendan and I hopped on the Underground and made our way across the city together. It is not every day you ride the Tube with the groom on his wedding morning, and it was a brilliant way to settle the nerves and soak up the buzz of the capital before arriving at RSA House.
The Ceremony at RSA House
RSA House on John Adam Street is a wonderful place to get married, tucked just off the Strand and full of history as the home of the Royal Society of Arts. The grand Great Room, with its monumental James Barry murals sweeping around the walls, gives the whole day a real sense of occasion while still feeling warm and welcoming. Brendan waited at the front, trying to hold it together, and gave up the moment Kate appeared. Vows, laughter, a few happy tears, and two people who were clearly made for each other.

London Weddings Check AvailabilityThe Celebration
What made this wedding so special was the personality woven through every part of it. The drinks reception buzzed, the speeches had everyone laughing and crying in equal measure, and the celebration that followed was an absolute joy to be part of. Kate and Brendan clearly know how to throw a party, and their guests threw themselves into every moment.
The flowers from Bohotany brought colour and life to the rooms, and the entertainment was something else. The Raffle Taggle Irish band kept the energy soaring, opera singer Anais Heghoyan gave everyone goosebumps, and the City String Ensemble quartet set such an elegant tone. Charles Burns, the silhouettist, added a wonderfully unique touch, snipping perfect paper portraits for guests to take home.
Into the Night
And then the dance floor. Music was clearly a big part of Kate and Brendan's day, and the band kept RSA House moving well into the late hours. It was the kind of night where you could not help but smile, and I hope that comes through in every frame.

What is a documentary wedding photographer?
A documentary wedding photographer tells the story of your day as it happens, with very little posing or direction. The focus is on real moments, natural light and genuine emotion, so your gallery feels like a true record of the day rather than a staged shoot.
