Pouya & Nadia - Islington Town Hall

Pouya and Nadia are just perfect for one another and I was thrilled to have been able to document their wedding day. With the groomsmen all suited and booted and their tasks finally completed a swift drink in the pub opposite Islington Town Hall was definitely in order. A small intimate ceremony with friends and family some of whom had travelled in from Sweden was held in the wonderful main room at the town hall.. Nadia & Pouya had written their own vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. A short journey down the road and we arrived at the reception in the heart of London’s Square Mile. The Clerkenwell and Social was an amazing venue with plenty of space to be able to dance and believe me this is something that these two definitely had planned. A funny speech about the bride sneaking out to go for a drink by borrowing her neighbours ladders was a personal highlight…

“Oliver has literally been the most incredibly patient, friendly and wonderfully talented photographer I've had the pleasure of meeting and managed to document beautifully the most perfect of days… “

Simon & Ollie - The Petersham Hotel

Simon and Ollie celebrated their Civil Partnership in the beautiful hills of Richmond in Surrey. The venue was the idyllic Petersham hotel which is just a stones throw from where Turner had famously painted many years ago, and naturally provided stunning views of the River Thames which was quite simply a dream to capture!

A small intimate ceremony with very close friends and family was held in the 'River Room’ followed by some drinks upon the roof terrace-made all the more glorious with the September sunshine beating down from above. A delicious wedding breakfast followed by a couple of informal yet heartfelt speeches was all that was needed to get the party started, before guests took a short walk down to the riverbank to board a boat to continue the celebrations on a private river cruise.

As the sun was setting guests enjoyed breathtaking views of Londons’ riverbank and enjoyed taking in the sights of iconic London landmarks including the Shard and the London Eye, and as darkness commenced so did some serious dancing!

Here are a few of my favourites from the day…

Mark & Ffion - The Ned & the asylum chapel

Mark and Ffion started their day by getting ready at The Ned Hotel in the City of London, followed by a small intimate ceremony at the Asylum Chapel. If you don't know about it, the Asylum Chapel is a wonderful grade II listed building with amazing features and makes a fantastic alternative wedding venue in London.  A short open top bus ride back over the Thames (with the groom’s aunties singing all the way!) we arrived at the Hawksmoor for dinner and drinks. This was a truly beautiful day to celebrate the love between this great couple with their family and closest friends, here are a few of my favourites from the day…
