Happy New Year

So it’s the first of January and it’s out with the old and in with the new-dry January, healthy eating and of course attempting to hit the gym!  On a personal level my resolutions include finally learning the guitar properly and getting out in the fresh air on my mountain bike more often-instead of both sitting idly gathering dust in the corner of my living room!

Resolutions aside I’ve taken a moment to look back and reflect on a great year that was 2018....

I was fortunate to work at some truly fantastic venues across the UK including the Savoy Hotel, Asylum Chapel, Clock Barn and even a boat on the Thames to name just a few, and have enjoyed capturing many special moments for some simply brilliant couples. One of my favourite parts of being a wedding photographer is meeting many diverse and inspirational couples and their loved ones, and documenting the many different styles of weddings often with individual themes and varying styles. No two weddings have been the same and it’s truly been a pleasure to help tell the story of your wedding day- I hope you will look back on your galleries and enjoy your photographs for years to come.

To all of my couples already booked in for 2019 I cannot wait to be part of your journey and am looking forward to capturing some everlasting memories for you.

Big thanks to everyone and wishing you all a healthy 2019 filled with love and happiness!

Adam & Lucy - The Clock Barn

Adam and Lucy’s wedding was perfect and they were without a doubt one of the loveliest couples I have photographed in 2018.  With the groom attired in full military uniform a beautiful intimate ceremony was held at the All Hallows church in Whitchurch, followed by a stunning reception at the renowned Clock Barn in Hampshire.

The sun shining and the drinks flowing the guests had a fantastic time, with emotional speeches and tearful moments all finished off with a comical moment when the DJ played the wrong song for the happy couples first dance.  I had a truly fantastic time getting to know these two throughout the day. Here are a few of my favourites from the day...

“Oliver was the second shooter for our wedding, so we didn’t meet him until the day. Despite that, Oliver was incredibly friendly and it felt like we had known him for years! He really got involved and made everyone feel at ease. Oliver took beautiful photos of our day and nothing was too much of an ask for him, he was even there to help straighten out my dress to ensure everything was a perfect set up for the photos. We feel so grateful that Oliver really helped to capture all of our day alongside our main photographer from the small details to the main portraits. We could not recommend him enough, He is the perfect photographer to be such an important part of any ones wedding day”.

Thanks again Oliver.

Oliver & Sophie- Westgate Hall & Dancing Man Brewery

With the winter sun shining and not a drop of rain to be seen, Oliver and Sophie celebrated their wedding day in Southampton with a beautiful intimate ceremony at Westgate Hall, followed by a reception just a few minutes walk away at a 700 year old converted wool house called the Dancing Man Brewery. Both venues are steeped in history and are located in the old walls of the City opposite the Pier. The couple truly relaxed into their big day with their friends and family which enabled me to capture some lovely moments…
