A wild, outdoor Elmley Nature Reserve wedding on the Isle of Sheppey. Big Kent skies, hares in the long grass, and two people so visibly in love with each other and their guests that the day practically photographed itself
An intimate Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells wedding in the heart of Kent. Full of warmth, easy laughter and the kind of family energy that makes a documentary wedding photographer’s job an absolute pleasure. Alis wore a stunning gown by Own Studio and Brad looked sharp in a navy three piece.
A gorgeous Chelsea wedding full of laughter, family and the kind of energy that had the whole room on their feet by the end of the night. Nat wore a stunning gown by Suzanne Neville and Josh looked incredibly sharp in a suit by Tommy Raban.
There are wedding venues, and then there is The Ned. A Grade I listed former bank with a rooftop terrace looking out over St Paul's Cathedral, a sweeping spiral staircase, and a main banking hall that stops you in your tracks — it's one of those rare venues where every corner tells a story. I feel enormously privileged to have photographed weddings here, and this page is my attempt to show you why it's so special.
Some weddings have a quality that's hard to pin down — a clarity of intent, a sense that every detail has been chosen rather than defaulted to. Sophie and Dan's December wedding in London was exactly that. From a ceremony at Islington Town Hall to an elegant evening at The Libertine by the Royal Exchange, theirs was a day that knew exactly what it wanted to be.
There's something quietly extraordinary about a micro wedding done right. When the guest list is small enough for everyone to actually know each other, when every single person in the room matters, the whole day takes on a different quality. Jon and Meg's was exactly that — unhurried, personal, and completely full of feeling from the very first moment to the last.
Some weddings are effortlessly themselves from start to finish. Chloe and Jon's was one of those days — warm, joyful, and completely at ease in some of London's most characterful spaces. A church ceremony, a neighbourhood pub, and a house full of antiques and candlelight. By the time the dancing started, nobody wanted it to end.
There are venues that are pretty. There are venues that are atmospheric. And then, very occasionally, there are venues that feel like they were built specifically to be photographed — places where the light behaves differently, where every stone tells a story, and where the backdrop does as much work as the people in front of it. The Mount Without in Bristol is one of those places.
Film cameras might seem like a relic of the past in today's digital world, where smartphones and digital cameras are ubiquitous. However, the resurgence of film photography is gaining popularity among photographers, both novice and professional. This article delves into the advantages of using film cameras and why I find joy in capturing images on 35mm film.
Jack and Abi's wedding at Limekiln was one of those days that just had everything. Warmth, laughter, emotion, a little boy in a suit who stole every room he walked into, and two people who were so clearly and completely right for each other. From the first moments of getting ready to the last song of the evening, it was a genuine joy to be there.
